What exactly does TrustScope analyse?
The venue’s 500 most recent reviews - the same ones Google serves on the Reviews tab: the star rating, the text, any attached photos, the date, and public facts about the account that wrote it. That scope is printed on every panel, and on every list of reviews you open from one.
Does a red star mean the reviews are fake?
No. It means the reviews show patterns worth a second look - unusual timing, thin content, accounts with no reviewing history. That is a statistical read across hundreds of reviews, not a judgment about any single review or the person who wrote it.
Where do the aspect scores come from?
From what the reviews say. Each review is matched to the aspects it talks about for that category of venue, and the score reflects how those mentions lean. Click any aspect and you get the exact reviews it was built from.
How is every number in the analysis calculated?
Every figure on the panel follows a published, repeatable method - see the for exactly how it is built.
How do I get a fresh analysis?
Analyses refresh automatically. Once an analysis is more than 3 weeks old, opening that venue again triggers a new one.
Can any venue on Google Maps be analysed?
Only if it falls into one of these categories: Restaurant, Cafe, Bakery, Bar, Hotel, Clinic, Doctor, Dentist, Pharmacy, Gym, Spa, or Hairdresser - and has 50 or more reviews.

Will an analysis I generate be visible to other users?
If you generate the analysis for a venue marked with a , it first runs on your machine and is cached there. At the same time it is queued on the server, generated there too, and made available to everyone within about a minute.

No, only their IDs are. That is why opening the reviews behind an analysis point can show an "Analysing" progress bar - the extension is re-collecting them locally, on the spot, rather than reading them from the server.
Do I need an account?
No. Install the extension, open any venue on Google Maps, and the analysis is one click away under the rating.
What do you collect about me?
Nothing. The extension collects no personal data and runs no tracking or analytics; what it stores stays in your browser.
